Description
This course is tailored for beginners and for anyone who would like to update their make-up skills. The course is taught over two days at the centre. You will then be required to complete case studies at home and return to complete an assessment when you feel ready. The course will cover some of the essential skills to introduce you to the world of make-up and to start your journey as a make-up artist. You will learn the most up to date techniques in order to apply make-up for various occasions.
All make up is provided for your training. However please bring your own brush set to use. We can recommend which brushes to get if you wish to purchase some before the course.
To gain skills that will further your career within the industry we recommend that you attend the bridal make-up course or the creative make-up course that offers training in advanced make-up techniques . Your lecturer will supply more details during your training.
This course also forms part of a VTCT level 2 diploma in beauty therapy and will be taught as part of your level 2 program.

- Contra-indications & contra actions to make-up
- Skin analysis, face shapes and skin tones
- Cleansing, toning & moisturising
- Product knowledge
- Make-up application techniques including corrective make-up, day, evening and occasion make-up.
- Application of strip lashes
- Aftercare advice
