Yes, a deposit is required to secure your place on the course. Once this is received all course details and material will be emailed to you.

The amount of the deposit is shown on each course. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable if you are unable to attend. Exceptions are made in extreme cases, but the course will need to be paid in full and a transfer fee will apply.

Payment plans can be arranged for courses over £500. Your remaining balance is divided equally and paid before the last date of attendance, not including the assessment day. If you withdraw before the end of the course, all outstanding monies are payable at the time of withdrawal.

Otherwise the balance is payable on or before the training day, by cash, debit card or bank transfer.

Complete any course at The Cottage and you qualify for 10% off the tuition fees of future courses.

There are also discounts when two or more people book a course together, and when you book two or more courses at the same time. Discounts apply to tuition fees, not to assessment fees.

Combined courses are already discounted, so no further discount applies to them. Nor is there a discount on the Ayurvedic facelift massage, which is taught by an outside trainer.

The Cottage Training Centre is accredited by ABT, is an approved VTCT (ITEC) centre, and is an approved 4T Medical training provider. Anyone completing their training to a competent standard receives a Cottage Training Centre certificate.

VTCT is a national awarding body regulated by Ofqual, and its qualifications are recognised by employers, insurers and professionals worldwide. Some organisations and insurers, such as FHT and AOR, require VTCT qualifications - so check that the qualification you choose is recognised by yours.

It is possible to convert a Cottage certificate to a VTCT one later. That involves the exams and extra assessments, so extra costs apply, but your tuition has already been to the right standard and no extra teaching is needed.

After your training you complete case studies on friends and family. When you feel confident you return to the centre for online exams and practical assessments.

You can choose an assessment date to suit you. Assessments are confirmed two weeks beforehand, and a booked assessment that is cancelled incurs a £30 fee.

If you cancel, the deposit is not refundable. Course fees are not refunded if a course is not attended.

We only ever cancel or reschedule in an emergency, or if the trainer is unwell. If that happens and no other date suits you, the course fees you have paid are refunded.
