This is not required for the training. ) Resulting qualification: courses are both accredited by ABT Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure that rids the skin of vellus hair (peach fuzz), dead skin cells, excess sebum etc that often clog the skin giving it a dull appearance and leading to congestion. Four times more effective than microdermabrasion. Dermaplaning will brighten your skin giving it a soft smooth glowing appearance, allowing better absorption of products, stimulating the cell renewal and providing a perfect base for your make up application!

Electrolysis

Course Information: Dates: 28th May, 4th, 11th & 12th June. (All dates to be attended) Course fee: £795 (deposit £200) Assessment fee (awarding body): £200 This advanced qualification provides you with the skills to perform electrolysis/epilation on clients wanting to permanently remove unwanted hair. Your clients will require several treatments for a successful outcome & is still a sought-after treatment. Your trainer has had many years’ experiences in epilation, where much of her training has been done with STEREX, the leaders in electrolysis. It is important to ask both your insurance provider and your local council for legal requirements before enrolling on this course. This course requires commitment and clients will be required. Please call the Cottage Training Centre to discuss further and tailor this course to suit you.

Sugaring

Sugaring is more suitable for sensitive skins and made from completely natural products. This course covers both manual and strip sugar techniques too many areas of the body and you will learn how to work in a safe and hygienic way.

Course Information: Date: 7th, 8th & 18th March; 15th,17th & 24th April 2024 10am-4pm Course fee: £1500 (deposit £500) Resulting qualification: VTCT Resulting qualification: VTCT L4 Diploma in Laser and Light Therapy ( hair removal & skin rejuvination) This course will provide you with a fully comprehensive education to carry out LASER and IPL treatments. It is an advanced level 4 course specialising in reducing hair growth and photo rejuvenation of the skin using intense light and laser treatments. In this qualification, you will develop an understanding of managing safe working practice and how to identify and control hazards. You will also learn how to identify hair and skin conditions and those clients suitable for intense light and laser system treatments. Training is held in small groups. Practical assessment will be carried out at the centre and theory completed at home.

Intimate Waxing

Course Information: Date: Monday 12th February 2024 2-5pm Course fee: £170 (deposit £50) Resulting qualification: Cottage Certificate accredited by ABT This specialised treatment using hot wax requires skill and confidence. Pre-requisite of a waxing qualification is required. Techniques to make this a quick & comfortable treatment will be taught. Max of 3 people on this course observing privacy and protecting modesty. You must provide your own model for this course.
